Seth

has a passion for teaching Bible and theology, especially the Old Testament, and leading conversations around visioning and discernment for the Church and life. When not leading, teaching, studying, or reading, he can be found hanging out with his family at his girls’ sports and music events – or running somewhere for fun.

Seth was born in Brookville, PA and grew up in a log cabin and played baseball any spare moment he had. A year after graduating high school, he married Heather in May of 1999. They have three daughters, Laylah, Naavah and Eliyah – aged 17, 16 and 15.

Before Seth came to Community Church, he was an associate pastor for Christ UMC in Bethel Park where he served as Pastor of Discipleship for that large suburban congregation.

He is also currently in the Rhetoric and Communication Studies Ph.D. program at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh where he instructs a public speaking course as well.
