Elizabeth Somes
was born and raised in Selma, Alabama. She graduated from Mississippi University for Women and later earned her master’s degree in Education from Auburn University at Montgomery. While in college, she met her husband Tad who was serving in the United States Air Force. They were married in 1993. The Somes family moved around the world for several years with the military and eventually settled in Penn Township in 2006. They have two adult children Theodore and Vivian.
Elizabeth has worked in vocational ministry for most of her career connecting people to Christ and the church in various capacities. She has also worked in public, private, and parochial schools. Elizabeth is excited to use her gifts of hospitality, administration, and teaching to serve the Lord and others.
When not at church, Elizabeth enjoys walking her dog, visiting her children and never turns down an invitation to a party, luncheon, or event.
